History Spotlight: A steam engine returns to Fremont

This view of an approaching steam engine that revisited Fremont looks south on Front Street from the Trestle Bridge in the 1980s. Justice Street is seen at the upper left, and the houses at the right look the same as they appeared in a similar photo taken during the 1913 flood. Notice people in front of their houses getting a nostalgic view of the once-popular passenger trains.
