Historic milestones: Vote for the High School Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week

Marlborough High's Ella Hobin has been voted the High School Girls Lacrosse Player of the Week.

The junior received nearly 35,000 votes to earn the honor. Hobin scored 5 goals and tallied 6 draw controls in a loss to Littleton.

And this week's candidates are...

Bella Duffy, Jr., Braintree: Duffy tallied her 200th career point in an 18-4 win over Quincy. In a 17-3 win over Framingham, Duffy had 7 goals and 3 assists.

Caroline Batchelder, Jr., Archbishop Williams: Batchelder (goal, 2 assists) tallied her 200th career point in a 6-5 win over Bishop Fenwick.

Peyton Mathisen + Sofia Grasso, South Shore Tech: Mathisen became the first player in program history to reach 100 career goals. She reached the feat by tallying a hat trick against Tri-County in a 13-7 win. Grasso had 5 goals and 2 assists in a 13-5 win over Old Colony.

Gabby Reardon, Jr., Marshfield: Reardon scored the winning goal with 3 seconds remaining in a 9-8 win. Reardon had 3 goals and an assist.

Grace Maroney, Jr., Hingham: Maroney had 5 goals and 3 assists in an 11-9 win over Duxbury.

Stella Kirkpatrick, Soph., Plymouth North: Kirkpatrick had 7 goals and an assist in an 11-10 win over North Quincy.

Maggie Keller, Sr., Silver Lake: Keller stopped a school-record 20 shots in an 8-7 loss to Quincy.

Taylor McAndrew, Sr., Oliver Ames: McAndrew had 6 goals in a 21-16 win over Milford.

Jess Perry, Jr., Middleboro: Perry had 6 goals and 5 draw controls in a 17-8 win over Rockland.

Ava Smith + Elle Murphy + Erin O'Donnell, Cardinal Spellman: In a 9-8 win over Bishop Stang, Smith made 12 saves while Murphy (5 goals) and O'Donnell (3 goals, 2 assists) had 5-point days.

Laney Larsen, Sr., Cohasset: Larsen became just the third player in program history to record 300 career points. She reached the milestone in a 15-2 win over Abington.

Maeve Gavin, Fr., Whitman-Hanson: Gavin scored an overtime winner in the Panthers' 5-4 win over Quincy.

Mira Flaherty, Jr., Weymouth: Flaherty scored a career-high 7 goals in a 15-4 win over Brookline.

Grace Chiota, Jr., + Bella Roman, Sr., Algonquin: Chiota collected five points on three assists and two goals, including the 100th of her career, in an 11-9 win over Leominster. Roman fired in five goals with an assist. In a 10-8 win over Shrewsbury, Roman poured in five goals, including the 100th of her career. She added an assist, while Chiota added two goals and one assist.

Harper Friedholm, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury: The Cornell-bound Friedholm scored six goals on six shots in a 9-5 win over New Hampshire defending Division 1 state champion Bedford on Friday. The senior also added four draw controls and two ground balls for L-S.

Ella Hobin, Jr., Marlborough: Hobin had a hat trick for the Panthers in a loss to Shepherd Hill, scored seven goals with six draw controls in a 12-6 win over Hudson and scored two goals in a loss to Tyngsborough.

Fallon Lozano, Jr., Nipmuc: Lozano registered the 300th point of her career in a 15-9 win over Notre Dame (Worcester).

Anna Magennis + Julia Schreiber, Srs., Ashland: Schreiber scored four times for the Clockers in a loss to Nantucket on Sunday. Magennis had an assist. In a 15-2 win over Bellingham, the pair each notched milestone goals. Magennis had seven points with three goals and four assists, scoring her 200th career goal for the Clockers. Schreiber notched career goal No. 100 with four tallies. In an 18-8 win over Norton, Magennis amassed 10 points with five goals and five assists while Schreiber added three goals and an assist. In an 11-1 win over Dedham, Magennis scored four goals with an assist while Schreiber added a goal.

Lilly Villaflor, Sr., Westborough: Villaflor punched in five goals with an assist and six draw controls for the Rangers in a 14-9 win over Algonquin. Villaflor also had four goals and five draw controls in a 13-3 win over Oakmont.
