Hillwalker dies after fall in County Donegal
One man in his 50s has died after a fall and another man has been airlifted to hospital with injuries while out walking near Mount Errigal in County Donegal.
Gardaí (Irish police) and local mountain rescue services said they were notified of an incident involving two people in the Poisoned Glen area of Dunlewey at about 13:00 on Saturday.
The police said that one man sustained "fatal injuries after a fall" and are treating the incident as a "tragic accident".
His body was taken from the area and transported to the mortuary at University Hospital Letterkenny, the police have said.
The second man, also aged in his late 50s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted from the scene to the hospital in Letterkenny for treatment.
