Hillsdale County sheriff's deputies investigate one-car crash in Jefferson Township

HILLSDALE — The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Jefferson Township.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Nokomis Trail near Cherokee Trail at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 1.

The preliminary investigation showed that Kelly Susan Davis, 38, of Coldwater was operating a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta westbound on Nokomis Trail when she lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Davis was transported to Hillsdale Hospital by Reading Emergency Unit for a laceration on her head. All airbags in the car deployed, deputies said.

The Jefferson Township Fire Department and Hillsdale Towing assisted on the scene.
