Hilaria Baldwin says infant son Edu had ‘scary’ allergic reaction and is now doing better

The infant son of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin recently had a “scary” allergic reaction and is doing better now, Hilaria wrote in an Instagram post.

She said she’s not sure what caused the allergic reaction for 8-month-old Edu, but described the situation as “one of those horrible moments a parent dreads.”

“My kids don’t have allergies, so this was a first,” Hilaria wrote. “Doesn’t matter how many kids you have, there are always moments that shake us, as there is no way we can prepare.”

The mom-of-six also shared a photo showing her cradling Edu.

“This was after he was better, the vomit on my clothes had dried, and my friend sent a pic to Alec (who is away working) to let him know it was going to be ok,” she wrote, before thanking the healthcare professionals who treated the baby.

Edu — whose full name is Eduardo Pau Lucas Baldwin — is the fifth child that Alec, 63, and Hilaria, 37, had together. Earlier this year, they welcomed their sixth child, a baby girl named Lucia, reportedly via surrogate.

Alec also has a 25-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.

The “30 Rock” actor and Hilaria have been married since 2012.
