HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Paige Meda scores 1,000th carer point for Bourne girls basketball

Paige Meda scored 25 points in the first half for the Bourne girls basketball team, and reached her 1,000th career point on three free-throws, in a 74-15 win over Martha's Vineyard on Wednesday.

Girls Basketball

Dennis-Yarmouth 42, Hull 20: Maeve Dolan led the Dolphins (15-5) in double figures with 10 points. Jaylene Pires (nine points), Siena Lauze (eight points), Chloe Azoff (seven points) for D-Y.

Duxbury 44, Falmouth 22: The Clippers (14-8) were led by Teagan Lind with eight points, two rebounds and two assists. Jazz Fernandez (four points, three rebounds), Jordan Dipietro (four points, two rebounds), and Christina Femino (six rebounds) all chipped in for Falmouth.

Cape Cod Academy 42, Falmouth Academy 30: The Seahawks (8-12) beat the Mariners (11-6) in the regular season finale.

Boys Basketball

Martha’s Vineyard 81, Bishop Stang 45: Josh Lake broke the Vineyarders (14-6) single game scoring record with 46 points (nine 3-pointers) on 18-of-23 shooting in the final round of the Apponequet Tournament. Sam Zack also contributed 15 points for Martha's Vineyard.

Dennis-Yarmouth 61, Nauset 54: The Dolphins (9-11) beat the Warriors (8-12) in their regular season finale. Elijah Searight scored 18 points, while Josh Jenkins (13 points) and Trey McPherson (seven points) also chipped in for D-Y. Jose Gonzalez, Julian Cash, and Chris Beaton also contributed for D-Y.

Girls Hockey

Sandwich 4, Martha’s Vineyard 3 (OT): Emma Itri scored the winning goal for the Lady Knights (10-10-2) in overtime as they beat the Vineyarders (11-9). Casey Pestilli scored a goal and handed out two helpers. Adrianna Kelsch and Julia O'Neil (penalty shot) each scored a goal, while Elisabeth Stutzman and Ainsley Hopwood each had an assist for Sandwich.

Nauset 4, Bishop Feehan 1: The Warriors finished the regular season 17-2-1.

Boys Hockey

Falmouth 2, Bishop Feehan 0: The Clippers (11-10) picked up a win in the final round of the Buddy Ferreira Classic Tournament. Eddie Leary had the shutout in net, while Alex Shvayko scored his first varsity goal for Falmouth.

Martha’s Vineyard 6, Bourne 3: The Vineyarders (9-9-1) snapped a five game losing streak in their regular season finale. Ty Kelley (penalty shot), Griffin Kelly and Domenic Bonito each added a goal, while Dana Leach and Joziah DeSouza each handed out one helper for Bourne (13-6-1).

St. John Paul II 3, Dennis-Yarmouth/Cape Tech/Cape Cod Academy 2: Liam Monaghan dished out two assists and scored a goal for the Lions (6-13-2). Braden Shortt scored twice, and Sean Willis had an assist for JPII. DY/CCT/CCA drops to 4-15-1.

Nauset 2, Plymouth North 1: The Warriors (18-1-1) finished the regular season finale on a 15-game win streak.

Needham 5, Barnstable 1: The Red Hawks ended the regular season 6-12-2.
