A High-Powered Attorney Inherits a Vineyard in the New Mahogany Movie, 'Napa Ever After'

Hallmark Media has kept their word on bringing more inclusion and diversity to the networks. Hallmark aired their first same-sex couple holiday movie last season with The Holiday Sitter starring Jonathan Bennett and they have premiered several movies with Asians and the lead characters. They also launched Mahogany branded movies featuring African-American storylines featuring the same themes as the Mahogany brand of greeting cards and products popular at Hallmark Card stores across the nation. Mahogany launches a new movie, this time on Hallmark Channel, with Napa Ever After.

Here's everything we know about Napa Ever After including a Parade.com exclusive sneak peek. Take a look!

What is Napa Ever After about?

After inheriting her estranged grandmother’s vineyard in Napa Valley, Cassandra (Denise Boutté), a very single high-powered attorney, takes a sabbatical from her job to renovate the property that was the source of the fractures within her family. Once an award-winning winery and destination wedding venue, Eloi Vineyards is in disrepair and on the brink of bankruptcy. With the help of Alec (Colin Lawrence), a handsome local widower, Cassandra sets out to reclaim her family legacy by reviving the vineyard in time for her dear friend Lena (Tiffany Yvonne Cox) to have the first wedding there in years. Through the process, Cassandra discovers more about her family and opens her heart to a love like she’s never known.

What is the Mahogany brand?

Mahogany is a brand of cards and gifts launched by Hallmark almost 40 years ago and is geared toward the African-American community. It features themes of family, community, human connection, and positivity.

Hallmark Media decided to parlay the iconic brand into a series of films that touches upon the Mahogany brand's themes.
