HGTV renovation series filmed in Brunswick County releases air date. Here's what to expect

A popular renovation show will soon show off Oak Island.

"Battle on the Beach," an HGTV renovation series which recently filmed in the Brunswick County town, is set to premiere its next season on Monday, June 3 at 9 p.m.

HGTV announced that Season 4 of the show would film in Oak Island in mid-February 2024. Ty Pennington, Alison Victoria and Taniya Nayak arrived in Oak Island for filming of the show, which began around Feb. 18.

This season, teams compete with a $100,000 renovation budget -- bigger than any budget previously seen on the show, according to HGTV.

What is 'Battle on the Beach?'

In Battle on the Beach, skilled renovation teams will revamp three identical beachfront properties, competing to earn a $50,000 cash prize.

Each week, teams will face challenges culminating in judgments of the best renovated space, evaluated based on overall design, craftsmanship, and potential resale value, according to HGTV.

The show's previous seasons were filmed in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Surfside Beach, Texas, and Fort Morgan Beach, Alabama.

When will Season 4 air?

Season 4 of 'Battle on the Beach' will air Monday, June 3 at 9 p.m., according to HGTV. The premiere episode has a two-hour run time with the entire season totaling seven episodes.

What can viewers expect?

Pennington, Victoria, and Nayak alongside a two-person team of renovators will "select a property from three similar four-bedroom, two-bathroom houses," according to HGTV. Each team will compete to transform their home into a "desired waterfront dwelling."

Lead by their mentors, viewers can expect appearances from the following designers: Samanatha and Sean Kilgore of Richmond, Michigan, Brandon Parker and Teresa Robinson of Norfolk, Virginia, and Kristin and Chyenne Smith of Dallas, Texas.

Teams will compete in numerous challenges across the seven episodes for a $3,000 bonus. With potential hints at the Battleship North Carolina, the HGTV webpage mentions "a relay race on a historic battleship."
