HGTV 'Good Bones' Star Reflects on Undergoing 'Mommy Makeover' Surgery

After the end of her popular home makeover show Good Bones, which finished its eight-season run on HGTV in October, star Mina Starsiak Hawk revealed that she recently underwent a different makeover.

The 38-year-old shared on the Tuesday, Nov. 14 episode of her podcast, Mina AF, that she got a butt lift and an eye lift. Hawk shared, "The filler that you put in your lips, you’re probably going to judge me for putting [it] in my butt."

Hoping to be honest with her listeners about her cosmetic surgeries, why she got them and how she feels, Hawk later stated, "I want people to know I’ve had implants. I got filler in my butt. I don’t actually have filler in my lips or cheeks. I do have Botox. Even though I know I’m going to be judged for them, they do make me happy."

The two new procedures come after the home renovation star underwent what is often called a "mommy makeover"—which included a tummy tuck, breast implants and liposuction—after having her kids Jack, 5, and Charlotte, 3, with husband Steve Hawk.

Going into detail about her journey from the mommy makeover to her newest surgeries, she said, "After I got my mommy makeover, I started lifting with Steve and I probably lost about another 20 pounds over that year."

"When I lost all this weight, although I have been incredibly fit, my legs feel like I’m wearing loose pantyhose because of the skin and my butt is like a half-filled bag of flour no matter how many squats or lunges we do," she went on, noting how that led to her decision to look into getting a butt lift.

Hawk consulted with a doctor for a year before going through with the surgery, getting the eye lift around the same time. She also shared that her father and grandmother previously had eye lifts as well.

"Whether we all want to admit it or not, I care about the way I look and the way I look makes me feel a certain way about myself. I’m turning 39. I don’t feel 39. I want to look the way I feel,” she concluded.
