CUMBERLAND — The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) has welcomed The Wilds as an Institution Member to the global zoo and aquarium community. WAZA promotes cooperation between leading zoos, aquariums, national and regional associations, as well as with leading wildlife experts, academies, and universities. Along with being a member of WAZA, The Wilds is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and certified by American Humane. CAMBRIDGE — The Guernsey-Noble Business & Professional Women will meet Wednesday, May 15 at Theo's. The speaker will be the Grow & Show Garden Club.

NEW PHILADELPHIA — The following individuals placed in their respective divisions during the George Decker Memorial Bowling Tournament in New Philadelphia:

First-place winners included Adam Finch, D.J. Hall and Danny Brister. Second-place winners were Aaron Kennedy, Jason Hall, Shawn Lemley, Ben Harding, Mary Polasky and Travis Hunt. Taking third place were J.J. Raine, Michelle Gross, Janet Stemm and David Peoples.The George Decker Memorial is held in memory of George Decker, a longtime Guernsey County Special Olympian who loved sports. His family hosts events such as bowling and swim meets for Special Olympics Olympians from Guernsey, Tuscarawas and Muskingum counties.
