Herman Cain’s Twitter feed says COVID-19′s not so bad, weeks after COVID-19 killed Cain

Herman Cain is dead, but irony is alive and well.

Cain’s “The Cain Gang” Twitter account, which his daughter took over after the former Republican presidential candidate died in July, reportedly tweeted an article Monday claiming, “It looks like the virus is not as deadly as the mainstream media first made it out to be.”

The virus being reported on is COVID-19, which killed Cain shortly after he attended a rally for President Trump’s reelection efforts, where the former businessman, like many guests, did not wear a mask. It’s not clear if Cain, 74, became infected at that event.

The Hill reported the tweet was removed after further consideration.

The article being pushed by the Cain Gang repeats information from a publication the Independent calls “dubious,” pointing out that Apple News shunned the outlet for promoting “views overwhelmingly rejected by the scientific community.”

Google News also took issue with the conservative publication Cain’s tweet promoted.

Cain’s social media accounts raised eyebrows when they began attacking Democratic candidates after the former Tea Party activist had been buried. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican party nomination in 2012, which went to Mitt Romney.
