Here's How Much Britney Spears' Iconic 2006 Mercedes Will Set You Back
Britney Spears' car from her infamous early aughts paparazzi snaps is now up for sale.
The pop icon's black 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK350 has been kept in Illinois' Volo Auto Museum since 2011, but it's now available for purchase. The Volo Cars site retails it for $69,998 or $815 per month, with an appraised value of $75,000.
Volo describes the vehicle as an "iconic piece of LA and global pop culture history" which was previously "hailed by TMZ as the most notorious car in the City of Angels." It also dubbed it "the most documented celebrity-owned car."
It's the same vehicle used during her notorious accident from September 2007, in which Spears was charged with one count of hit and run for hitting a parked car, as well as one count of driving without a valid driver's license, but it is being sold "as-is."
As for why the car is leaving the museum, Volo explained, "This item is from our museum display. We literally have thousands of the coolest vintage items on display that we have collected over many years. We have so many items that we are renting 4 warehouse units to store what doesn't fit on display in our museum. It is time to let some items go, reluctantly!"
Fans interested in purchasing the vehicle can leave a $1,000 deposit through the site, which will put the car on hold until a sales member can reach out with next steps. Those who do not live in Illinois can still purchase the Mercedes-Benz, as Volo is offering to arrange shipping anywhere.
