Here's a look at Sha'carri Richardson's best nail looks through the years

American sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson has become somewhat of a household name since breaking out prior to the 2021 Olympics. Unfortunately, Richardson would not be able to compete in the Tokyo Olympics after a positive marijuana test prior to the games.

She's back in 2024 though, and faster than ever before. However, her time won't be the only thing spectators are looking out for. Over the years, Richardson has become somewhat of a fashion icon, running in fishnets, fully glammed out, making other runners wish they could look half as fly while qualifying for the Olympics. Another area where Richardson has been able to express herself has been her nails.

Richardson has often been compared to American track legend Florence Griffith Joyner (nicknamed Flo-Jo) for her lengthy acrylics while racing, Richardson has made her nails a statement every time she races on national television. It's actually become something fans look forward to seeing and dissecting. Here's a look at how Richardson has done up her nails throughout the years.

Who designs Sha'Carri Richardson's nails?

Nail artist Kinaya Haug is responsible for the art we see on the track. Haug started creating Richardson's nails prior to the 2023 Prefontaine Classic, as seen above. Although Haug's design was ultimately not chosen, it got her foot in the door, and when the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials rolled around, Haug was given the opportunity to design Richardson's nails again. This time, Haug's design got the limelight.

Haug claims that anyone looking for nail designs as bold as Richardson's will probably cost about $300.

When does Richardson race?
