Here's our list of Memorial Day events in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Memorial Day has finally arrived. It's a time for reflection and gratitude, and also a much-needed long weekend to relax and spend time with family.

This Memorial Day, there are parades and ceremonies happening in at least five locations in Livingston County. Here's our list:

The Brighton Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Brighton High School, 7878 Brighton Road. The parade will travel east down Main Street to the Mill Pond. Following the parade, a ceremony will take place at The AMP and a wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Brighton Veterans Memorial.

The Howell Memorial Day Parade also begins at 10 a.m. Parade participants will stage at First Presbyterian Church and the Howell Carnegie District Library. The parade will make a few stops for wreath laying ceremonies, including at the library and the historic courthouse. The parade will conclude at Lakeview Cemetery.

The Hartland Memorial Day Commemoration begins at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartland Cemetery. On Memorial Day, a pancake breakfast runs 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Village Elementary. The Memorial Day 5K Run/3K Walk begins at 8-9 a.m. Hartland's Memorial Day Parade begins at 12 p.m. and travels from Hartland Middle School to Village Elementary. A moment of silence will be held before the parade.

The Pinckney Memorial Day Parade begins at 1 p.m. Parade participants will assemble at 11 a.m. at the Mike Levine Lakeland Trail State Park on the corner of Pearl Street and Hamburg Street.

The Fowlerville Memorial Day Ceremony, hosted by VFW Post 6464, takes place at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day at Greenwood Cemetery, 4350 Cemetery Road, in Fowlerville.

The Hamburg Township Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day in the village of Hamburg.
