Here's when the Knicks will tip off vs. the Heat or Sixers in 1st round of NBA playoffs

The New York Knicks are still awaiting their opponent for the first round of the NBA playoffs, but they now know what time they'll be tipping off for Game 1.

The NBA announced late Tuesday night that the Knicks, who earned the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, will play Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Madison Square Garden against either the Miami Heat or the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Heat and Sixers will play on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. for the chance to earn the seventh seed and to advance to the first round.

Tom Thibodeau's Knicks earned the No. 2 seed by beating the Chicago Bulls 120-119 in overtime on Sunday while the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a blowout loss to the Orlando Magic.
