Here's how former Iowa State football players did in Week 11 of the NFL season

Week 11 of the NFL season is in the books, and several former Cyclones significantly contributed on the field for their team.

Brock Purdy is back to being absurd. David Montgomery stuck it to his former squad, and at least one of the members of the New York Jets' Cyclone trio managed a decent day. Here's a rundown of how all ex-Iowa State players did in Week 11 of the 2023 NFL campaign.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers QB

Just when it seemed Purdy and the 49ers were coming back down to Earth, the former Iowa State signal caller delivered a perfect quarterback rating to go with an impeccable stat line in Sunday's 27-14 win over Tampa Bay.

Purdy finished 21-for-25 passing for 333 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. That produced a QBR of 158.3. He also added four carries for 14 yards.

Back-to-back wins have San Francisco back on track at 7-3. It's looking like Purdy will again be right in the middle of the NFL postseason.

David Montgomery, Detroit Lions RB

The Lions' crazy comeback dominated headlines from Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. But David Montgomery's strong performance against the squad that drafted him provided a nice subplot.

The former Iowa State running back had 12 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown to go with two catches for 22 yards. Montgomery's end-zone visit with 29 seconds remaining completed Detroit's epic rally that saw it deliver two touchdowns and a safety in the final three minutes.

Here's how all other former Cyclones did in Week 11 of the NFL season
