Here's when Fayetteville, Cumberland offices will be closed for the holidays

In observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, the following city of Fayetteville and Cumberland County offices will be closed, according to statements from the city and county.

Government offices

• City of Fayetteville government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.

• Cumberland County government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Law enforcement

• The main police station front lobby and records unit at 467 Hay St. will be closed Thursday and Friday. Residents can file a police report online; send anonymous tips to help solve crimes to Crimestoppers by calling 910-483-TIPS or visiting p3tips.com; and are encouraged to call 911 to report suspicious activity and emergencies.

Solid waste

• Thursday's garbage and yard waste will be collected Wednesday.

• Thursday's recycling will be collected Saturday.

• Friday's garbage, yard waste and recycling will be collected as scheduled.

• All Cumberland County Solid Waste locations, including the Ann Street Landfill at 698 Ann St., will be closed Thursday but will operate on a regular schedule Friday and Saturday.

Fayetteville Regional Airport

• Airport Administrative Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• All other operations will continue as regularly scheduled.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit

• There will be no service Thursday. Normal operations will resume Friday.

• Administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation

• Facilities will be closed Thursday.

• Administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Recreation centers will operate on an abbreviated schedule, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Friday.

• Parks, trails and green space areas will remain open and accessible to the public Thursday and Friday.

Other offices

• The court system will be closed Thursday and Friday.

• Cumberland County library branches will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday and reopen for regular hours Monday.

• Cumberland County Animal Services will be closed Thursday through Sunday. To report an after-hours animal emergency, call Cumberland County Emergency Services at 910-323-1141 or 911.
