Henry Cavill is about to be one superhero of a dad!

The Man of Steel actor and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso are currently expecting their first child together, an exciting family update that Cavill confirmed during a recent red carpet appearance.

While attending the premiere for his new movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on Monday, April 15, the hunky movie star confirmed to Access Hollywood that he is indeed about to become a father.

"I'm very excited about it," he gushed to reporters at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City. "Natalie and I are both very excited about it."

"I'm sure you'll see much more of that,” he further teased about the pair's little one on the way.

Cavill, 40, and Viscuso, a television executive, have now been together for over three years. They first launched their relationship on social media in April 2021, and made their red carpet debut as a couple in October 2022 while attending the premiere of Cavill's Netflix film Enola Holmes 2. 

Also during his red carpet interview on Monday, Cavill was asked about his inspiration for wanting to become a dad. The interviewer even asked if Henry Golding, Cavill's co-star and a father of two, had anything to do with his decision to tackle parenthood.

"He didn't inspire me to do that," Cavill said with a laugh, before explaining, "My parents did."

At the end of the conversation, the interviewer could be heard telling Cavill that he would make a "great dad."

"Thank you," he replied. "I really appreciate that."

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare premieres in theaters Friday, April 19.
