Help at Welcome Table for Bloomington Old Time Music and Dance Group

Volunteers 16 years and up are needed to greet and check-in participants every Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Harmony School Gymnasium, at 909 E. Second St., Bloomington. While fulfilling this simple, family-friendly, interactive volunteer activity (which can be done seated), enjoy live acoustic music and observe interesting social dances, including contra and square dances. Bloomington Old Time Music and Dance Group is a nonprofit, community-based organization that has been active in Bloomington for 51 years! With members ranging in age from 7 to 87 years, they are a diverse, volunteer-led group that enjoys learning and playing "old time" American folk music (featuring fiddle, piano, banjo, and upright bass, etc.) and/or dancing traditional dance styles. Children's Expo

The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Children's Expo is a parent’s treasure trove for informational, educational and recreational resources for school-age children. The Expo continues to offer free health screenings by qualified healthcare professionals for children ages 10 years and under. Volunteers are needed to help supervise activities, greet participants, provide general event support and assist with vendor hospitality. Volunteers 16 years and up are welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian. The Expo happens on Saturday, April 27, at Switchyard Park, at 1601 S. Rogers St. in Bloomington. Two shifts are available, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and 1:30-5 p.m. Sign up today and find a waiver at https://tinyurl.com/expo-volunteers. Deliver meals to seniors

Area 10's Home Delivered Meals program currently needs a volunteer driver 18 years and up to deliver meals weekly on Mondays on the Ellettsville route. The route begins with picking up the meals at Area 10 (631 W. Edgewood Drive, Ellettsville) at 10:30 a.m. and takes about an hour to complete. They also welcome volunteers who would like to be contacted to substitute on delivery routes as needed. A current driver's license and car insurance are required. Area 10 delivers hot meals to homebound seniors and people with disabilities who have trouble preparing their meals. Interested?
