Helen Mirren, 78, Hits the Runway With Larger-Than-Life White Hair

While Dame Helen Mirren always stuns at red carpet events, such as her all-blue look at the Cannes Film Festival, she debuted a dazzling new look as she became a runway model at Paris Fashion Week.

The award-winning actress joined many other big names to walk the L'Oréal runway on Sunday, Oct. 1, including Andie MacDowell and Elle Fanning. Mirren looked amazing in a sparkling silver, off-the-shoulder dress with long sleeves that touched the floor, but many couldn't help but focus on her hair.

Mirren's natural white hair was blown out and crimped, flaring out around her like a mane. It maintained its shape as the 78-year-old twirled on the runway to show the flowy nature of the dress and its sleeves.

At one point during her walk, Mirren was joined by Fanning, and the two walked beside one another with contrasting gold and silver looks.

For MacDowell, 65, and her runway look, she had her hair similarly styled, with her natural gray-colored curls fanned out around her face. The actress wore a black bra underneath leather pants and a matching suit jacket, rocking an edgier look than some of the other models.

Along with MacDowell and Fanning, Mirren was joined on the runway by Camila Cabello, Katherine Langford, Aja Naomi King, and more. All of the women are L’Oréal Paris brand ambassadors, while more representatives for the brand walked the runway in Paris as well.

While Mirren doesn't often shy away from unique and unexpected fashion trends, her hair is usually very short and styled close to her head. But just as she proved with her blue tresses at Cannes earlier this year, she appears to be able to pull off just about anything.
