Heart of Stone's Jamie Dornan responds to Netflix movie's big twist

Heart of Stone star Jamie Dornan has addressed the shock twist over his character Parker.
Netflix's newest hit movie follows Gal Gadot as Rachel Stone, a spy at MI6 who turns out to be serving undercover for a secret organisation, tasked with ensuring an AI asset doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
That mission is thrown into chaos when it's revealed that MI6's Parker is a double agent seeking the AI asset in question, as he kills the other members of the team.

"I didn't see it coming," Dornan told Netflix publication Tudum. "I was as shocked as anyone."
The actor explained that it was this twist that made him want to sign onto the film when he first read the script – that and the possibility of essentially playing two characters in pre- and post-reveal Parker.
He explained: "My approach [was] to treat them almost separately.
"What was attractive about Parker is we think he's this stand-up guy who's really great at his job and hopefully comes across as charming and winning, a big team player – and it makes it all the more shocking to reveal that he is not who you think he is and there's ulterior motives. He's extremely dangerous.

"I love playing with the audience’s perception of someone, leading them down a path thinking that you're presenting this version of someone and actually they turn out to be something altogether different. I always think that’s interesting."
Although the reviews haven't been great, the film has been doing well over its initial weekend. So could it get a sequel?
Director Tom Harper says he wants to focus on the current film for now, so we might not find out for a while.
"For the moment just: make this film, hope you do a good job, hope the audiences are gonna love it, and take it from there," he told Digital Spy in June.
