MICHIGAN CITY — Lace up your walking shoes for a healthy dose of information and exercise as Franciscan Health’s free "Walk with a Doc" program steps off in Michigan City on May 29. The free 5K walks begin at City Hall, 100 E. Michigan Blvd. at 6 p.m. CDT each Wednesday May 29 through July 3 with a brief talk by a physician or clinical staff member followed by stretching and walking through Washington Park. Registration takes place on-site only beginning at 5:30 p.m. CDT each Wednesday. Participants need not complete the 5K walk to participate. In case of inclement weather, the walks will be cancelled. SOUTH BEND — The St. Joseph County Public Library is offering “Yoga for EveryBODY” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 29 in the Ballroom, Community Learning Center, 305 S. Michigan St.

ELKHART — Elkhart County Parks will offer Yoga in the Park from 6 to 7 p.m. on May 30 at the Cobus Creek Shelter, Cobus Creek County Park, 30680 County Road 8. Join registered Yoga teacher, Amanda, for an hour of empowering yoga. All skill levels welcome. Participants, ages 18 and older, should dress for the weather, bring water and a yoga mat. This class is $5 with advanced registration at https://elkhartcountyparks.recdesk.com/.

SOUTH BEND — RiverBend Cancer Services Wellness House, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., will offer the following “Living Well with Cancer” classes. All classes are free and open to cancer patients, survivors, their families and caregivers; pre-register for all classes by calling 574-287-4197 or e-mail programs@riverbendservices.org.

GOSHEN — Chair Yoga will be offered by Elkhart County Parks at 9:30 a.m. May 30 in the Ox Bow Haus Shelter in Ox Bow Park, 23033 County Road 45. Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is done while seated or using a chair for balance. Wear comfortable clothing. Some mats are available; bring your own if you have one. This is a free class for those 12 years and older. No registration is required.

ST. JOSEPH — The Buchanan Area Senior Center is hosting a walk along the Bluff and to the Lighthouse in St. Joseph. A planned stop at the Silver Beach Carousel will offer participants an opportunity to ride for $4. Afterwards, participants can choose to eat lunch at Broad Street Café — patron responsibility. The Walk Day will be May30, and registration is required by calling 269-695-7119. Those riding in or following the van will meet at the BASC, 810 Rynearson St., Buchanan, at 9 a.m. Those driving themselves should meet at the Bluff about 9:35 a.m.

MISHAWAKA — Penn Harris Madison Food Services will offer a free breakfast and lunch to all children, 18 years of age or under, at the following locations and dates:

• Temple Park, 416 E. Edgar Ave., 11 a.m. to noon from June 4 to Aug. 13.

• Meadow’s Edge Elementary, 16333 Kern Road, 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. from June 5 to June 28; 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. June 5 to Aug. 16.

• Central Park, 295 E. Mishawaka Ave., 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. from June 4 to Aug. 13.

• Merrifield Park, 1000 Mishawaka Ave., Lunch: 11 a.m. to noon; Snack: 2:15 to 2:30 p.m. from June 4 to Aug. 13.

• Village Green Mobile Home Park, 1434 Fallcreek Drive, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. from June 4 to Aug. 16.

• Prairie Vista Elementary, 15400 Brick Road, Granger, 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. from June 5 to June 28; 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. from June 5 to Aug. 16.

No student ID is required, nor do you have to attend a PHM school. The food may not be taken off site. Adults may pay $5 for a meal. The program operates Mondays through Fridays only and all sites will be closed on July 4. Menus are available at www.phmschools.org or at the site.
