A husband and wife duo are opening three coffee shops in the Myrtle Beach area over the next five years.

The first Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii location is expected to welcome guests late this year or early 2024, according to a news release.

Dawn and B.J. Kinard have not yet decided on a space.

The franchise offers American-grown, premium Hawaiian coffee, blended drinks, signature lattes, cold brews, teas and food.

“The Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii brand and what it represents in terms of ‘giving back with Aloha’ is such a fantastic fit for what the Grand Strand is all about,” B.J. Kinard said in the news release. “As active members of the community, we look forward to providing locals and vacationers amazing customer service at a place where people come together to enjoy a quality product in a fun and relaxing environment.”

The couple are long time fans of the brand after visiting locations in Florida, the release states.

There are also shops in the other parts of the southeast, including Florida and Virginia.
