AT&T and Verizon customers may be waking up a little frustrated Thursday morning.

DownDectector.com reveals service outages for both carriers on Feb. 22, 2024, causing fits for customers all over the U.S.

When will AT&T be back up? Outage updates today

According to the website, AT&T outages hit at 31,532 customers around 4:26 a.m. ET and checks in at 59,300 outages reported at 10:54 a.m. ET.

The numbers of outages is falling. The peak was 74,200 outages reported at 9:12 a.m. ET.

The most reported AT&T outage locations according to DownDetector.com include:

• Atlanta

• Austin

• Dallas

• Chicago

• Indianapolis

• Houston

• Miami

• New York City

• San Antonio

Reports indicate 51% citing mobile phone issues, 41% choosing no signal and 8% claiming mobile internet problems.

When will Verizon be back up? Outage updates today

As for Verizon, the outage hit 1,514 around 4:49 a.m. ET but spiked to 2,787 as of 10:55 a.m. ET.

The number of outages is falling. The peak was 4,356 outages reported at 8:00 a.m. ET.

The most reported Verizon outage locations according to DownDetector.com include:

• Atlanta

• Brooklyn

• Chicago

• Dallas

• Houston

• Indianapolis

• Los Angeles

• New York City

• Philadelphia

When will AT&T service be restored?

There is currently no timetable for restoration.

“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning. We are working urgently to restore service to them," AT&T said in a statement to USA TODAY on Thursday morning. "We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored.”

There was no information on how or why the outage may have began.
