Harbor Light celebrates top graduates

HARBOR SPRINGS — Harbor Light Christian School has announced their top graduates for the Class of 2024.

Harbor Light Christian School will celebrate commencement at 3 p.m. on June 2 at the school.

The school’s valedictorian is Charlotte Gagnon, the child of Greg and Deborah Gagnon, who is ending high school with a 3.95 GPA.

While in high school, Gagnon participated in varsity volleyball, varsity basketball, theater and served as the student council president and worship team leader.

Gagnon, who is planning to attend Hope College to study psychology and fine arts, was also named the Hope College Distinguished Artist Award for studio art.

“I would like to thank my parents and siblings for all their support these last four years, every teacher and staff member who helped me grow, and my classmates who helped make high school so memorable,” Gagnon wrote to the News-Review. “Congratulations to all of you, we did it.”

Graduating with a 4.10 GPA is Harbor Light salutatorian Corin Paulus, the child of Michael and Amy Paulus.

Throughout high school, Paulus participated in football, basketball, baseball, golf, theater and worship team drumming. Additionally, he was an elementary basketball coach.

After graduation, he will be headed to Lawrence Technological University to study computer science, with concentrations in artificial intelligence, mathematics and cybersecurity. Paulus will be playing football for the college this fall as well.
