Harbor Freight store coming to Hornell. Here's where it will be and its plans to open

Harbor Freight Tools is opening a Hornell store, likely in early spring.

The major tool and equipment retailer is planning a March or April opening at 7451 Seneca Road North in Hornellsville, the former location of Valu Home Center.

A sign draped across the building front says Harbor Freight "Coming Soon" and "Now Hiring" with an address to apply for a job at the store online.

A complete remodel of the interior is underway and Harbor Freight is working with the Hornellsville codes office on the project, according to Supervisor Dan Broughton.

"They are not taking the entire area. They are going to put a wall up and two doors so there will be a little area (remaining) to rent out," Broughton said.

The store is located between Dollar General and Advance Auto Parts.
