The second season of the TV show based on first-person shooter Halo will begin streaming on Paramount sooner than you expected.

When Will Halo Season 2 Stream On Paramount?

Season 2 of Halo will begin streaming on Paramount February 8, 2024. Paramount has just released a trailer for Season 2, which you can see below.

According to Paramount: "Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. As humanity’s best hope for winning the war, John-117 discovers his deep connection to a mysterious alien structure that holds the key to humankind’s salvation, or its destruction — the Halo."

The first nine episodes of Halo Season 1 were fairly well-received when they were first released in March 2022. The plot follows Master Chief and the United Nations Space Command as they battle the alien Covenant, but some fans were disappointed it didn’t follow the game narrative closely, and added all-new characters for the show.

Despite those deviations, developer 343 Industries’ Kiki Wolfkill acted as executive producer on the show, overseeing production and ensuring it adhered to Halo lore. Original Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto said he didn’t hate the TV show, but it didn't feel like the game he made.

Halo is one of Xbox’s mega-franchises, launching with and becoming a flagship title for the original Xbox home console in 2001. The most recent game, 2021’s Halo Infinite, adapted to a more open world game design and carries a Metacritic rating of 87.
