Halle Bailey is officially a mother!

On Saturday, Jan. 6, The Little Mermaid star, 23, shocked her fans when she announced the birth of her first child with her boyfriend, DDG, 26 (whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.). The songstress had not previously disclosed her pregnancy.

"Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son," Bailey captioned an Instagram post late Saturday night. "Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️."

The main image showed her newborn baby's arm with a gold bracelet reading "HALO." Bailey and DDG's hands were also featured in the adorable shot.

"My biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤️ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo," DDG captioned a post featuring the same photo on his Instagram grid.

In Bailey's comments, celebrities and regular folks alike showered the new parents with love and words of congratulations.

One stunned fan exclaimed, "SO SHE WAS PREGNANT ALL ALONG WHAT ?!"

Another Instagram user assured the new mom, "Your terms is the only way anyone needed to know anything and I’m glad you did it just like that! 🙏🏾"
