There's nothing quite like a good celeb manicure. Our camera rolls are filled with screenshots of our favorite It Girl manis as reference photos for our next set. Whether it's Sydney Sweeney's emerald metallic nails, Addison Rae's pair of dice-themed manicure, or Megan Fox's bloody nail art, there's no shortage of inspiration to be found online.

But if you're a nail stan like we are, you know that nothing quite tops the trendiest manicure of 2022 — Hailey Bieber's glazed donut nails. That's right, Mrs. Bieber has been claiming the sweet treat as her beauty inspiration for her nails, her skin, and even her lipstick combinations. Her TikTok-viral glazed donut nails (which come in chocolate-glazed and strawberry-glazed varieties, of course) can be recreated by mixing your color of choice with clear nail polish to thin out the opacity of the color, and then painting it onto your nails, before topping it off with a chrome coat — Hailey's nail artist uses OPI's Tin Man Can.

But in a recent interview with Byrdie, the supermodel spilled that she's actually been taking a break from her glazed donut nails in favor of something a little more subdued for the colder months. Hailey may have tested out a bright shade of holiday red for her most recent campaign with Tiffany & Co. (see: TikTok's viral red nail theory) but her latest go-to manicure has actually been classic black polish.

"I gravitate toward darker shades. Right now, I love a classic black manicure. I'll also wear dark brown, maroon, or dark purple polish," Hailey explained. "I had to give the glazed nails a break because I had been doing it for months, but I will bring them back in a new way soon."

Don't put away your chrome OPI polish (or their $10 Amazon dupe) just yet, though — there are plenty of ways to make it work for the holiday season. "The thing I love about the glazed manicure is that it works for all seasons, and you can do it with any color. The other day, my manicurist Zola, decided to test the chrome on my black polish. It looked cool, but I wasn't ready to jump back into it yet," Hailey shared.

Later on in the interview, the Rhode founder explained how she's been trying to set better emotional and mental boundaries as she enters her 26th year. "I struggle with caring so much about what people think, and that's because I love people. I'm still learning this lesson, but I've been trying to let go of being such an extreme people-pleaser because it can be detrimental. I'm also trying to establish better boundaries with everything in life."

Happy (early) birthday, Hailey — we'll pop on some vanilla birthday cake-flavored Rhode Lip Peptide to celebrate with you! 🎂
