H-E-B’s new Plano location will open for the first time Wednesday morning for eager enthusiasts of the Texas-based grocery chain.

A DJ will begin performing outside the store at 6001 Preston Road as customers wait in line for the Plano location’s 6 a.m. opening. H-E-B’s coffee will be served alongside a food truck with fresh beignets. Plano West Senior High School’s drumline and cheer team will also be present to kick off the store’s grand opening.

The Plano store will see nearly identical product offerings to those found in the recently opened Frisco store. We still don’t know if H-E-B’s recently announced Fort Worth store in Alliance will feature similar items, as it will largely depend on the success of new stores opening on the east half of the metroplex.

“Once we get Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Allen locations open, Alliance will be the culmination of all the learning from the first four stores,” said H-E-B spokesperson Mabrie Jackson. “It will get better every time we learn a whole new shopping pattern of what people up here really want when they go to a grocery store. Alliance and Mansfield will be the beneficiaries of that.”

The Plano H-E-B will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Customers can begin scheduling curbside pickup for the Plano store now in advance of its opening. The 118,000-square-foot store will feature a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-thru, gas station and car wash, True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru, curbside pickup and home delivery service.
