Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy! franchise opening first Texas restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth area

Guy Fieri is frying up something special in North Texas.

The celebrity chef is bringing his fried chicken chain — Chicken Guy! — to Dallas at 7859 Walnut Hill Lane suite 190. The restaurant is eyeing a November opening, according to Culture Map Dallas.

Chicken Guy! serves, you guessed it, fried chicken. However, the chain solely focuses on chicken tenders, whether that be in a combo meal, on a sandwich or atop a salad.

And while the joint may just serve chicken tenders, they’re not lacking flavor. Diners can sauce up their tenders from nearly two dozen choices, including curry mayo and wasabi honey, avocado crema and cumin lime mojo.

Other menu items include loaded mac and cheese, fries and fried pickles. “Flavortown shakes” are also on the menu with flavors such as triple double mint and apple cinnamon cereal.

Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl opened the first Chicken Guy! in 2018 at Walt Disney World in Florida, according to Mashed. The pair then expanded the chain to locations in seven other states.

The Dallas Chicken Guy! location is the restaurant’s first in Texas. The franchise does have 11 locations open across the U.S., and six others in the works.

But this isn’t Fieri’s only restaurant in the Metroplex. The “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host owns a restaurant at Texas Live in Arlington called, “Guy Fieri’s Taco Joint.” Fieri has also spent plenty of time in the Metroplex, highlighting local restaurants for his “Triple D” show.

Chicken Guy! will open at 7859 Walnut Hill Lane suite 190 in Dallas this November.
