Gundam Flow Chart Recommends The Best Gundam For You

Do you like the look of those giant mecha in Gundam but find the whole thing too daunting to know where to begin? We feel you. In fact, the creators of the Gundam franchise feel you too.

Which is why Bandai Namco has released a new interactive flow chart that asks you a series of questions about your interests, then recommends a personalized Gundam just for you.

The Gundam Flow charts asks questions such as “do you want to watch a long series?”, “have you ever built gunpla?” and “do you want to watch a battle of fateful rivals?”, and after answering yes or no it then suggests either an anime show, movie or game for you to tackle.

It’s not exactly science but it is a fun way to jump into a franchise that’s probably older than your dad. It’s certainly a more coherent answer than asking a forum of Gundam fans and being bombarded with Extremely Online opinions. You can take the test for yourself right here.

The Gundam franchise has seen giant robots punch each other since 1979, and is still going strong today. The latest anime is bringing back one of its most popular series - Iron Blooded Orphans - despite cancelling the game it’s based on.

Franchise owner Bandai Namco is currently wooing potential fans in the US, touring the country and handing out freebies and exclusive models. It most recently turned up at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with an Italian team splashing Gundam decals all over its race cars.

Last weekend, a new VR game for the Meta Quest was revealed - Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom VR is being created with French outfit Atlas V.
