Gucci confirms opening date for Fort Worth store, its seventh boutique in Texas

From Funkytown to luxury fashion, Fort Worth is adding one of the world’s hottest brands to its growing portfolio of high-end retailers.

Fort Worth’s first Gucci store will open in The Shops at Clearfork next month on Oct. 10. This is only the seventh Gucci boutique across Texas directly operated by the brand.

The 4,500-square-foot boutique is on Monahans Avenue between Louis Vutton and Tory Burch retail stores.

Fort Worth’s Gucci store will feature men’s and women’s shoes, luggage, watches, small leather goods, handbags, eyewear and jewelry.

Gucci has been one of the world’s leading luxury brands since its founding more than 100 years ago. The high-end retailer was recently named the world’s hottest brand by fashion technology company Lyst Insights.

The Fort Worth boutique was designed with a look that invites customers to feel welcome and relaxed through a determinedly spare use of space, contrasting traditional and modern collections and a custom geometric carpet, according to a news release.

Earlier this year, Gucci opened its first store in the Austin market. With other locations in San Antonio, Dallas and Houston, the new Fort Worth location means Gucci is now present in Texas’ five largest cities.

Though the brand was originally founded in Italy, today Gucci is owned by French luxury group Kering, which also owns major fashion houses Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen and Bottega Veneta.

Store hours for the new Clearfork location are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday to Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The Shops at Clearfork, part of Simon Property Group Inc.’s portfolio, is anchored by Neiman Marcus, Pinstripes and AMC Dine-In Clearfork 8. Other luxury retailers in the center include Burberry and Tiffany & Co.
