New grocery store featuring Indian and Asian cuisine ingredients opens in Bellingham

A new specialized grocery store is opening in Bellingham this week, bringing Indian and Southeast Asian flavors and products to Whatcom County.

India Mart, a grocery, produce and spices store, will open its doors on Thursday, Jan. 18. No operating hours have been posted.

The new store at 193 Telegraph Rd., near Denny’s and Rent-A-Center, will sell a variety of snacks and food, as well as health and beauty products like Indian hair oils.

The grocery store first filed for permits with the city of Bellingham back in September.
