Greg Cote Show podcast: Jury reaches final verdict on Kornheiser/toenail bet. (It was NOT unanimous)
The Greg Cote Show podcast officially begins Year 4 of its existence with the first episode of 2023, out now, on the heel of our emergency episode that dropped (like a ball at Times Square) on New Year’s Eve.
The emergency episode meant to settle our long-running bet over whether we would get Tony Kornheiser on our show by the end of the year. He did appear on the show, but we failed to settle the bet, as Chris would not concede Greg’s claim and demanded a jury trial.
So this new episode settles the bet, once and for all. We bring in a three-person all-star jury to rule, enlisting the unassailable integrity of ESPN star Sarah Spain, Zoo Miami maestro Ron Magill, and beloved baseball god Tim Kurkjian.
Each cast their vote for Greg or Chris independent of the others, and a verdict was reached.
The bet hanging in the balance: Chris, if he loses, will spend an entire night sleeping outdoors. Greg, if his loses, will eat his toenail -- deep-fried.
The verdict was not unanimous.
