Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport now offering one-way routes to Boston, New York

Two new exclusive nonstop routes are coming to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).

Brought to the Upstate by Avelo Airlines, the routes will be shared between GSP, the Manchester-Boston Airport (MHT), and New York's Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC). Introductory low one-way fares will also be offered to customers, according to a May 9 news release.

Avelo will be the first and only airline to offer the nonstop service between these two destinations and the Upstate, according to the news release.

These two exclusive nonstop routes will also make exploring Greenville / Spartanburg’s southern hospitality, scenic views and attractions a fast and seamless journey for Northeast visitors.”

What to know about new routes, introductory fares

Utilizing Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, Avelo will operate these routes twice a week. Introductory low one-way fares begin at $77. Customers can make reservations at AveloAir.com.

∎ Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC): Beginning on Thursday, March 9, Avelo will operate this route twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Low one-way fares start at $77.

∎ Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT): Beginning Friday, May 10, Avelo will operate this route twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. Low one-way fares start at $85.

Avelo doubles frequency of flights to Connecticut

Avelo will double its frequency of flights to Southern Connecticut's Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) to four flights a week. The flights will be scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The airline will also serve three nonstop destinations from GSP in addition to these new routes: Manchester, N.H., Boston, Mass, Rochester, N.Y. and New Haven, C.T.
