Green pushes Hull to first W: Vote for the High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week
Canton High's Jeremiah Predin and Jamaal McConnell have been voted the High School Boys Basketball Players of the Week.
The duo combined to receive over 31,000 votes to earn the honor. Both Bulldogs had big games in a 65-52 win over Stoughton. McConnell had 24 points while Predin posted 19 points and 18 rebounds.
And this week's candidates are...
D'Anthony Amado, Sr., Cardinal Spellman: Amado had seven 3-pointers and 28 points in a 67-50 win over Southeastern. He chipped in 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Jeremy Leonard, Sr., Silver Lake: Leonard scored a career-high 24 points in a 44-43 win over Quincy. He had 23 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to North Quincy.
Christian Dalton, New Heights: Dalton had 24 points, 6 assists and 5 steals in a win over Excel Academy. He also had a double-double (16 points, 10 assists) in a 74-54 win over Dennis-Yarmouth. He also had 22 points in a 71-47 win over Roxbury Prep.
Isaiah Green, Soph., Hull: Green scored 33 points to lead the Pirates to a 69-58 win over Calvary Chapel Academy. That victory was the Pirates first of the season.
Kingston Maxwell, Soph., Abington: Maxwell scored 27 points in a win over Abington and had 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a victory over Oliver Ames.
Chase Mello, Sr., Hingham: Mello scored 23 points in a 50-45 win over Pembroke.
Tristian Rodriguez, Sr., Archbishop Williams: Rodriguez dropped 40 points, his second consecutive 40-plus point showing, in a 69-63 win over Bishop Feehan. That clinched a state-tournament spot for the Bishops.
Dylan Perrault, Jr., Whitman-Hanson: Perrault scored 23 points in Whitman-Hanson's 71-59 win over Scituate.
Matt Youngquist, Sr., Middleboro: Youngquist scored 26 points in a 78-62 win over Rockland.
Zach Falls, Sr., Duxbury: Falls scored 26 points in a loss to Hanover.
Charlie Baker, Sr., North Quincy: Baker had 15 points, 20 rebounds and 4 blocks in a 53-51 win over Silver Lake.
Matt Delcore + Owen Higgins, Pembroke: Delcore scored 35 points in a 76-61 win over Plymouth North. Higgins connected on eight 3-pointers to finish with 24 points.
Dylan Dormady, Sr., Rising Tide: Dormady scored 31 points in a 62-56 loss to St. John Paul II.
Michael Porter, Sr., Scituate: Porter had 22 points and 7 rebounds in a 71-63 win over Marshfield.

Nicholas Bellofatto, Sr., Westborough: Bellofatto hit 13-of-14 free throws and scored 23 points in a 68-64 win over Fitchburg on the road Monday. He also scored 18 points in a loss to Hopkinton on Thursday.
Sam Dadagian, Jr., Hopkinton: He dropped 26 points with seven rebounds and four assists in a 66-57 win over Westborough on Thursday. On Wednesday, Dadagian and Cooper Willadsen each scored 21 points as Hopkinton clinched its first TVL Large title since 2011 with a 67-59, overtime win at Westwood.
Ryan Dooley, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury: Dooley dropped 22 points with five rebounds for the Warriors (14-5) in a 57-48 win over Acton-Boxborough on Wednesday.
Chris Krueger, Sr., Marlborough: The center scored nine of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, and the Panthers held on to beat Algonquin on Friday, 49-47.
Patrick Madden, Jr., Hopedale: Madden poured in 16 points, but the Blue Raiders (10-10) fell in the Clark Tournament Small School semifinals Sunday to Maynard, 37-36. Madden scored 19 of his game-high 24 points in the second half as the No. 5 Blue Raiders topped Uxbridge, 62-38, in a Clark Tournament Small School quarterfinal at Oxford High on Saturday. On Wednesday, Madden poured in 26 points for the Blue Raiders in a 58-37 loss to Millbury.
James McKinney, Jr., Nipmuc: McKinney scored 16 points as the Warriors (13-5, 8-2 Dual Valley) clinched a share of the Dual Valley Conference title for the first time since 1997 with a 52-43 win over Sutton on Thursday. McKinney also had 13 points for the Warriors in a 43-35 road win at Worcester Tech on Wednesday.
Mason Melchionda, Sr., Dover-Sherborn: He scored 25 points in a 53-48 win over Norton that secured a Tri-Valley League Small co-championship with Medway.
Sean O’Leary, Sr., Franklin: It was a big week for the Bates College-bound O'Leary. On Wednesday, he dropped 20 points while reaching the 1,000-point plateau as the host Panthers defeated Attleboro, 71-66. On Friday, he scored 20 points again as the Panthers (19-1) upended Hockomock League foe Milford, 77-70.
Caden Reisman, Sr., Medway: He poured in 24 points with 12 rebounds in a 62-37 win over Millis on Wednesday. The Mustangs (10-8) shared the TVL Small title with Dover-Sherborn with the win.
Sean Ryan, Soph., Millis: Ryan scored 18 points for Millis in a 69-54 win over Blackstone Valley Tech on Wednesday.
