Graduates celebrate at Austin Peay State University commencement ceremony
Austin Peay State University's commencement ceremonies took place in three sessions on Friday with 440 students graduating with degrees from the College of Arts and Letters and College of Behavioral and Health Sciences.
The second ceremony took place at 1 p.m. for 440 graduates in the College of Business, Eriksson College of Education, College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and University College.
The last ceremony of the day included 200 students from the College of Graduate Studies receiving their degrees.
Presiding over the day's commencement ceremonies were APSU's President, Dr. Michael Licari, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Maria Cronley, and Assistant Provost & University Registrar, Dr. Felicia Nagel.
In all, 1,400 APSU students registered to receive their degrees at the May 2024 Commencement. Deans from each of the colleges had the honor of presenting the candidates with their diplomas.
Each ceremony began with a processional, followed by the National Anthem, and welcome statement from Licari.
They concluded with the Alma Mater, led by the University Ensemble, and then a recessional of the administration, faculty and students.
