Graceland dress code: What to wear when taking care of business at Elvis' estate

Elvis was famous for his flamboyant wardrobe.

In fact, the King's clothing is as much a part of the Presley image as his swiveling pelvis and his curled lip.

Many of Elvis' signature outfits are on display at Graceland, including his gold lamé Nudie suit; the iconic black leather suit that was a form-fitting highlight of his "'68 Comeback Special"; his "Aztec Sun" jumpsuit; and scores of other tunics, capes, belts, pieces of jewelry and pairs of sunglasses.

Visitors to Graceland need not be so stylish. Obviously, nudity and offensive apparel are prohibited; otherwise, "the dress code is FUN and weather appropriate," according to the Graceland website.

In other words, dress in a replica "Aloha from Hawaii" jumpsuit or just pull on some shorts and a T. Casual is cool; but fancy or hip is cool, too. Sometimes, the outfits worn by the fans are as creative as those donned by the King.
