Good luck. Churchill Downs opens its newest casino resort this week

We’re betting on a good time at the Churchill Downs Inc.'s newest casino.

The gaming floor of the Terre Haute Casino Resort in Terre Haute, Indiana, opens Friday, April 5.

The 400,000-square-foot facility will feature a 122-room luxury hotel, an event center, 1,000 slot machines, 35 live table games, a poker room and a sportsbook at which to place wagers on various sports competitions.

There’ll be plenty of places to dine and drink at the Vigo County resort, about 160 miles northwest of downtown Louisville.
