Golden Retriever's Tantrum Over Housekeeper 'Folding His Blanket Wrong' Is Priceless

Is your dog sort of...picky? Maybe they're just particular. Either way, if your dog is fussy then you'll totally relate to one Golden mom, who received an earful (relatively speaking) for not making her dog's bed just right.

Four-year-old Bowie was in for an unwelcome surprise when he walked into his owners' bedroom and saw that his bed was in shambles.

In the video, Bowie walked over to his mama to lodge his "complaint."

"Hi! What do you want?" his mama asked him from behind the camera. Um, housekeeping? There's something amiss with my bed!

Bowie wasn't having it. He stared directly at his blanket, which was folded at the foot of his bed instead of laying flat like he likes it. At one point, the Golden Retriever started pawing at the blanket. He was serious about this whole bed thing.

Eventually, the Golden's dad came over and fixed the bed for him. Whew, thank goodness the emergency is over.

Commenters were cracking up over Bowie's temper tantrum. "Omg hurry up and fix it for him! Lol so cute!" demanded one commenter. "These things used to be wolves, wild animals, now he's upset because his blankie is set up wrong," another person joked. "Our housekeeper vacuumed my dogs bed and set it outside to air out and my dog freaked out because it didn’t smell like him. He just kept rolling in his bed for the longest time," a third person shared. "LOL the drama! My 10 lbs. dog will violently move my pillows on the bed if he doesn’t like their positioning," another commenter added.

How to Get Your Dog to Sleep in Its Bed

Bowie isn't alone in his need for a certain sleep setup. Sometimes dogs can really resist sleeping in their own bed. If your dog is giving you a hard time at night, make sure that you got them the right bed to begin with. You'll want something that is big enough for your pup to comfortably fit.

Something else to consider — cleanliness. Even though dogs themselves are likely to roll in mud and refuse to get in a bath, they do like their beds to be clean. Remove any dog hair, debris, or dirt to make the space more inviting.

The bed should be in the right location too. Put it somewhere that isn't highly trafficked, so that your dog won't get distracted nor will they wake up to the sound of moving feet.

After your dog makes it through the night, make sure to give them a treat! You'll want to reward them for staying in their bed.

Last but not least — make sure their blanket is just right. Or else face the same talking to that Bowie's mama did.
