Golden Globes 2024: Where, how to watch, 'Barbenheimer' showdown and full nominations list

Will every night be girl's night following a "Barbie" sweep at the 81st annual Golden Globes? Will "Oppenheimer" blow or blow us away?

One of the biggest nights for the film industry arrives this weekend.

Hosted by comedian Jo Koy, Sunday's Golden Globe Awards will separate the heavy-hitters from the have-nots ahead of the Oscars on March 10. Leading with the most nominations are box-office hits "Barbie," with nine nominations; "Oppenheimer," with eight; and "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "Poor Things," both earning seven nominations.

"Barbie" leads with the most Golden Globes honors at nine nominations.

When is the 81st Golden Globes?

The Golden Globes will be held on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. E.T. Viewers can catch red carpet arrivals on Variety's website and social media platforms beginning at 6:30 p.m. E.T.

How to watch: Golden Globes airs directly after the Bengals game

The awards ceremony will air on CBS following the in-state, season-ending matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals have officially been eliminated from the playoffs following their 25-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on New Year's Eve. Sunday's game may be the final time that some Bengals players put on the black and orange uniforms, Bengals beat writer Kelsey Conway reports.

Where to stream the Golden Globes

The show can be streamed live on the CBS app using credentials from a cable provider. The awards will also stream live on Paramount+ with a Showtime add-on.

Those without the add-on can tune in to the ceremony beginning Monday on Paramount+. Subscription-holders for Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and FuboTV can also stream the ceremony live this weekend.
