Dignitaries, political leaders, and royals from all over the world are expected to attend the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II.

Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth's funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19, at 11 a.m. U.K. time.

Who is going from the Commonwealth?

People reported that leaders from various Commonwealth countries will be in attendance on Monday, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, and Jamaican Governor-General Sir Patrick Allen. Newly elected U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss will also be there.

Which U.S. presidents are going?

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are expected to go to the funeral.

It's unlikely that former presidents will be in attendance. USA Today reported that former president Jimmy Carter did not receive an invitation, while spokespeople for former presidents Barack Obama, Donald Trump, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton did not comment.

Which royals will be there?

Of course, members of the British royal family will attend the queen's funeral, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince Harry, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Other royals expected to attend include Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, Emperor Naruhito of Japan, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, King Harald V of Norway, and Queen Margrethe of Denmark, according to People.

Elsewhere from Europe, the confirmed guests include President Andrzej Duda of Poland, President Alexander Van der Bellen of Austria, and President Gitanas Nauseda of Lithuania.

Other global leaders who are attending include President Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, President Isaac Herzog of Israel, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, President Ranil Wickremesinghe of Sri Lanka, President Yoon Suk-yeol of South Korea, and President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil.

The Times reported that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a representative from Russia or Belarus will not attend as the Ukrainian–Russian conflict wages on.
