‘GMA3’ Cohosts Amy Robach and T. J. Holmes Deactivate Instagram After Secret Relationship Pics Surface
Major drama happing in the world of Good Morning America today: Amy Robach and T. J. Holmes appear to be secretly dating. The Daily Mail dropped this news yesterday, writing that the cohosts “have blocked in a passionate romance despite both being married to their respective spouses for the past 12 years.” The outlet also published pictures of Amy and T. J. chilling at a bar, holding hands in an Uber, and taking what looked to be a romantic trip upstate before Thanksgiving.
Hours after the bombshell photos and report, both Amy and T. J. reportedly deactivated their Instagram accounts.
So, what’s the deal with Amy’s and T. J.’s respective relationships? Welp, Amy has been married to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue since 2010.
While T. J. has been married to attorney Marilee Fiebig for 11 years.
E! News reports that it’s “unclear” where the marriages currently stand; however, sources tell Entertainment Tonight that both Amy and T. J. had split from their spouses before the Daily Mail’s photos dropped.
“Amy and T. J. had always had a warm supportive friendship and they bonded over their love of running,” one source says. “There have been whispers at ABC about a possible relationship between them for the last several months. They’ve recently grown even closer due to their cohosting GMA3 and traveling for special remote assignments, like going to London for the Queen’s funeral. The two have a special bond that has been evident to staff for years, so it’s not surprising a relationship has formed, but it is shocking that it has come to light in this way.”
Another insider tells ET that “their relationship has been going on in secret for quite some time, but how long is truly unknown, as they did their best to keep things professional and private. Whenever they worked on-set, everything was fun, sometimes flirty, but always professional.”
Meanwhile, a source revealed to People that “there were rumors they were having an affair about a year ago” and that “a lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it because you can see there’s a mutual affection there. But everyone ultimately chalked it up to friendship because they always said they were both happily married.”
