Glastonbury Festival has finally confirmed its line-up ahead of the festival on Worthy Farm in Somerset in June 2024, with Barbie and Argylle star Dua Lipa headlining the iconic Pyramid stage on Friday.

Alongside her movie roles, Dua provided the number 1 song 'Dance the Night' for the Barbie soundtrack and collaborated with 2023 Glastonbury headliner, Elton John on 'Cold Heart (Pnau remix)'.

Meanwhile, Chris Martin's Coldplay will return to headline for the fifth time to a full crowd, making them the most frequent Glasto headliner in history - overtaking previous record-holders The Cure - and that's before you count their live-streamed performance at Live at Worthy Farm, the virtual festival hosted during the Covid-19 pandemic.

And finally, SZA, real name, Solána Imani Rowe, the American singer-songwriter with multiple Brits and Grammys to her name, will close out the festival on Sunday. Ahead of that, country legend, Shania Twain will debut at the festival to take on the Sunday afternoon Legend's slot.

Speaking to Gaby Roslin on BBC Radio 2 about officially becoming a 'legend', Shania said: "There's like a stamp that comes with this slot and I feel like, I'm there, I've arrived at this slot and it's gonna be gorgeous, the sunset. Standing, I've watched some of the other performances and I'm already planning what I'm going to wear, you know, all that exciting stuff."

Top Boy star, Mercury Prize winner, and Digital Spy Rising winner Little Simz will return to the festival to play the penultimate set on the Pyramid Stage just before Coldplay. The Pyramid stage will also feature the likes of Burna Boy, PD Harvey, Michael Kiwankuka, Keane, and The Voice UK judge Paloma Faith.

Speaking to Lauren Laverne on BBC Radio 6 Music, Little Simz said: "It's amazing. I think my Glastonbury journey has just been so unique but, you know, the fact that they've supported me and kept bringing me back to do bigger stages, you know, different times and stuff, yeah it really is, it is special.

"This is the only show I'm playing this year. All roads are leading for me to Glasto, so I'm really taking time to craft a show, to make it as much of an immersive experience as I can. Just bringing vibes to the farm really."

Meanwhile, Idles, Disclosure, and The National will headline The Other Stage, which is the festival's second biggest venue, with Camila Cabello, Avril Lavigne, Two Door Cinema Club, and Bombay Bicycle Club appearing, too.

Further line-up announcements will be made in the coming months, along with expected line-up times via the festival's official technology partner, Vodafone.

Tickets for this year's festival are officially sold out, however, there is an expected resale incoming during April for returned tickets, as well as the opportunity to win tickets in an auction raising money for those affected by conflict and donating to the British Red Cross, Oxfam and War Child.

Glastonbury Festival takes place on Worthy Farm in Somerset from Wednesday, June 26, and runs until Sunday, June 30, 2024.
