Victoria McEnroe

School: Bronxville

Year: Senior

Highlights: The apple does not fall far from the tree. Daughter of retired pro tennis player and current ESPN commentator Patrick McEnroe, and the niece of another tennis pro, John McEnroe, she put the finishing touches on a decorated high school career. The Bronxville standout returned to the Section 1 finals for the third straight year and would not be denied, finishing atop the section. McEnroe went on to take fourth in this year's state tournament, but also led the Broncos to win their first Section 1 and NYSPHSAA Division II team tennis titles. McEnroe previously won the 2022 NYSPHSAA singles title as a junior.

Here's the rest of the first team

Katie Kendall

School: Scarsdale

Year: Sophomore

Doubles

Kay Cottrell/Emma Ha

School: Scarsdale

Year: Junior; sophomore

Highlights: Cottrell and Ha were a force on the court, winning the Section 1 doubles crown before going on to become Section 1's highest place-finishers at the state tournament. They finished as state runner-up in the NYSPHSAA doubles tournament. They also were a key ingredient in helping Scarsdale win its third consecutive Section 1 and state team tennis titles.

Nishka Daga/Brinda Roy

School: Edgemont

Year: Senior; sophomore

Highlights: After competing in the Section 1 singles tournament last fall, Daga and Roy joined forces this time around and went on a deep postseason run that culminated in a third-place finish at the Section 1 doubles tournament and their first-ever trip to states. The Panther partners took fifth at the NYSPHSAA championships.

Alexia Lansberg/Ines Xhayet

School: Harrison

Year: Seniors

Highlights: Lansberg returns to the first team, this time with a new partner after the graduation of Hannah Rose. Lansberg and Xhayet jived and gelled on the court, making it to the Section 1 doubles final four and ultimately taking fourth. They went on to place sixth at states, right behind Edgemont's tandem of Daga and Roy after a rematch.

Chinonso Okpara/Savannah Minter

School: Ursuline

Year: Sophomore; freshman

Highlights: Okpara and Minter teamed up and enjoyed a breakout run to the Section 1 doubles finals as the No. 6 seed. Unfortunately, their championship match with Scarsdale's Kay Cottrell and Emma Ha was cut short, after Minter sustained an ankle injury midway through the finals, but be on the lookout for this duo next fall.
