Girls hoops roundup: Armada, Yale win respective semifinals, will meet in district final
Here are some results from Wednesday's district semifinals in girls high school basketball.
Armada 56, St. Clair 41
Valeria Ricossa posted a game-high 15 points for Armada (15-3). Ashlyn Upton notched an 11-point, 10-steal double-double.
The Tigers advanced to Friday's Division 2 district final against Yale. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at St. Clair High School.
Gracie Pickelhaupt totaled 13 points to lead St. Clair (15-9).
Yale 38, Croswell-Lexington 24
Sadie Dykstra led all scorers with 15 points for Yale (17-5). Kimberly Martin chipped in 13 points.
The Bulldogs advanced to Friday's Division 2 district final against Armada.
Bella Edwards and Mackenzy Dennison each had nine points for Cros-Lex (15-8).
Marine City 50, Algonac 7
Josalyn Dietlin posted a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double for Marine City (17-6). Jade Blanchard also notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.
The Mariners advanced to Friday's Division 2 district final against Warren Regina. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at Marine City High School.
Jaycee Reams had four points for Algonac (4-17).
Anchor Bay 57, Port Huron 55
Despite a game-high 29 points from Iliana Williams, Port Huron (16-8) couldn't maintain its lead down the stretch.

Macomb Dakota 60, Port Huron Northern 48
Charlotte Eastman scored 18 points to lead Port Huron Northern (9-15). Kate Nichols followed with 14 points.
Sandusky 42, Reese 25
Grace Guibord amassed 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals for Sandusky (22-1). Caroline Reinke contributed six points, five boards and two assists.
The Wolves, who've won 17 straight games, advanced to Friday's Division 3 district final against Caro. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at Vassar High School.
Almont 49, Kimball Landmark Academy 9
Almont improved to 8-15 and advanced to Friday's Division 3 district final against New Haven. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at Capac High School.
Lake Fenton 60, Imlay City 30
Imlay City finished the season at 13-10.
