Girls basketball districts from March 4-8

The girls basketball postseason tipped off Monday with Adrian, Britton Deerfield, Hudson and Sand Creek all in action in county.

Here's how night one of the playoffs went:

Division 2 at Tecumseh

Ida 37, Adrian 34

The Maples finished 10-12 after falling in the first round to the Bluestreaks.

Makenna Johnson and Ella Salenbien each scored 10 points for the Maples.

Ida will play Madison at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday while Tecumseh follows against Dundee after the Vikings beat Milan Monday, 53-36.

Division 3 at Onsted

Hudson 41, Sand Creek 31

After a 2-point third quarter, Hudson went 13-for-14 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and beat the Aggies.

Dinah Horwath led Hudson (9-14) with 13 points. Hudson will play Columbia Central Wednesday.

Sand Creek (1-22) got eight points from Scout Robinson and Tanana Emmendorfer.

Division 4 at Lenawee Christian

Britton Deerfield 62, Rudolf Steiner 8

The Patriots (4-19) will play Lenawee Christian Wednesday after demolishing Rudolf Steiner.

Korina Dotson and Lily Watson scored 15 points each and Alivia Salenbien scored 11 points for the Patriots.
