Girl Scouts to offer Thin Mint-inspired raspberry cookie

Sweet dreams are made of this.

Girl Scouts of the USA on Tuesday announced in a release that the organization — known as much for its patches as its delicious door-to-door cookie sales — will introduce a Thin Mint-inspired cookie in time for next year’s Girl Scout Cookie season.

The Raspberry Rally, which will only be available online, “is a ‘sister’ cookie to the beloved Thin Mints, infused with raspberry flavor instead of mint and dipped in the same delicious chocolaty coating,” according to the release.

Girl Scouts announced that the new Raspberry Rally™ cookie will join its nationwide lineup for the 2023 Girl Scout Cookie season.

The treat will afford fans of the iconic cookies “yet another reason to be excited for the upcoming cookie season” and “will be the first in the Girl Scout Cookie lineup to be exclusively offered for online sale and direct shipment only.” The digital pivot will serve as a means of “enhancing girls’ e-commerce sales and entrepreneurial skills,” said the release.

“The Girl Scout Cookie Program encourages girls to be risk takers, to think outside of the box, and to be confident in their own abilities. ... Girl Scouts are learning qualities crucial for all forms of leadership and life-skills,” said the organization.

The delicious announcement comes about a year after Girl Scouts revealed the organization would debut the brownie-inspired cookie, Adventurefuls.
