Good News! 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 3 Has Officially Begun Production
Ginny & Georgia fans, it's been a while since you've heard anything regarding the show after the season 2 premiere. Though it was previously announced that the Netflix series was renewed for season 3 *and* season 4, it's been crickets ever since. Get ready, though, because there are some official updates that you can finally sink your teeth into.
Those who are up to date with season 2 were practically buzzing at the riveting finale—and after some dark, brutal months of theorizing what could possibly happen next, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight. While you might have to wait for the show to return to get most of your answers, there are some things worth noting ahead of the upcoming season. When will Ginny & Georgia season 3 return?
An official premiere date has not yet been announced, but there are some exciting updates about the return of the show. As of late April 2024, the cast is officially back on set! After a long delay, fans can finally feel at peace knowing that the wheels on their favorite Netflix show are turning.
Antonia Gentry (Ginny) pretty much won everybody's hearts over with her Instagram announcement. She posted a carousel of "then and now" photos with her and actor Diesel La Torraca (Ginny's little brother, Austin) showing just how quickly time flies!
Now that the show is finally in its filming stages, all that's left is for Netflix to give an official premiere date to look out for.
Who will be in the cast of Ginny & Georgia season 3?
There were other behind-the-scenes photos of the cast returning to set, as well, so fans have a better idea of who is coming back. (Though, even without those photos, the show would not be what it is without Ginny and Georgia... they're in the title for crying out loud! 😂) Therefore, it was always safe to say that Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey would make their way back to the screens. What will season 3 of Ginny & Georgia be about?
Well, the show has some outstanding questions to attend to, so hopefully they start there.
In case you need a refresher, the last episode of season 2 ended with Georgia and Paul finally getting married—after their wedding was originally called off due to complications with Gil (Aaron Ashmore). The wedding took place in City Hall, and all was going smoothly at first. But the police suddenly rushed in to arrest Georgia for the murder of Tom Fuller. And if you think back a couple episodes, you know that Georgia's son, Austin, witnessed his mother committing this very act. So when he ran out of the wedding crying, swearing to Georgia that he didn't tell anyone, it was enough to raise questions for just about everyone.
